My name is Jennifer Trenhaile. I have been teaching Music at Emerson-Hubbard since the fall of 2000. Here is a little information about me and my family.
I grew up on a farm in Cedar Rapids, NE. It is located in central Nebraska southwest of Albion. I graduated in 1986 and then moved to Wayne, NE to attend college. It was at Wayne that I met my husband Bill. We were married in 1989. I graduated from Wayne State College with my Bachelor's of Fine Arts Degree in the Spring of 1990.
After graduating from Wayne I accepted my first teaching job in Neligh, NE. I taught there 3 years before Bill and I moved to Albion where he accepted a music position. While in Albion, I spent time working a a local flower shop and doing daycare. We moved to Petersburg, Ne in 1995 where Bill taught full time at Petersburg Public Schools and I accepted a part-time music position at Elgin Pope John XXIII High School in Elgin, NE. I taught there two years before taking a job at St. John the Baptist Elementary school in Petersburg.
We moved to Emerson in the summer of 2000. Bill is now teaching in Wakefield. I started my master's program in the fall of 2004 and graduated with my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Wayne State College in May of 2006. Bill and I have 6 children, Heather (17), Eathan (15), Emily (13), Sidney (11), Noah (9), and Madeline, who was born on June 20, 2008.
I enjoy playing piano, golfing, walking, and reading in my spare time. I also give piano and guitar lessons at my home after school.
