Learning about Mrs. Ryun...

I grew up in Plainview, NE where I was the youngest of three children. In high school I could often be found out doing hog chores or taking care of my rabbits. So, how did I get from Plainview over here to Emerson Hubbard? I have made my way here through the University of Nebraska-Lincoln where I majored in Agricultural Education. As a December graduate, I took a long-term substitute position out in Harrison, NE. After that my husband, Brad – an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran – and our now two year old daughter Hannah, moved to Emerson. Now, as a first year teacher, I am the agricultural instructor and FFA advisor here.
This is my schedule:
1st Period – Intro to Ag
2nd Period – Planning
3rd Period – Animal Science/Plant Science
4th Period – Lunch Duty
5th Period – Junior High Ag
6th Period – Careers
7th Period – Ag Mechanics
8th Period - Ag Construction
I am enjoying my first year here and look forward to future prospects!
