Class Of The Week
Number of Students: 6
Teacher: Ms. Jenny Brewer
Grade: Preschool
Class activities that your class enjoys: any activity where they can make noise, where they can move around and be social, and of course story time.
What does your class like to do at recess: when it's nice out my class likes to walk in the park and play there during recess. During the winter, their favorite recess activity is playing tag and just running around. They enjoy any chance they get to go outside.
Favorite subject: Preschool class likes doing the Centers. During centers they get to choose what they want to do and can work together or alone. They can also change centers whenever they want, as long as they change where their name is. The choices they have to choose from are art, writing, blocks, toys, books, or house.
Favorite class field trip: During Fire Safety Week the Preschool made a trip to the Fire Station. The students were able to see the inside of an Ambulance and climb through a Fire Truck. They got to see all of the gear a fireman wears and ask questions. They left with a bag of things from the fire department. When they got back to the classroom they were very excited about what they saw.
What do you study in your classroom: In Preschool we study the alphabet, numbers, colors, and manners. Each week we have a theme that we study, read books about and do activities with.
Favorite holiday: That's a tough one....We liked Halloween because we were able to make a spider hat and sing Halloween songs to our parents. We also liked Christmas because we were able to give gifts to the class and read lots of different Christmas and winter books.
What is your favorite lunch: We don't eat lunch in preschool but our favorite snack is Apple Juice and animal crackers.
