Lady Pirates vs Lady Eagles

The Lady Pirates traveled to Allen on Thursday the 17th to play Allen during their homecoming week. The Varsity played best 3 out of 5 sets. The first set the Lady Pirates came out slow; they stayed with them but in the middle of the set they backed off and lost the set 13-25.
On the other hand the Lady Pirates came out strong during the 2nd set. During the second set Caitlin Casey had 7 good hits and Alexa Heeney had 4. Alexa Heeney also had the best digs with 7 and Brittni Bormann with 4. The Lady Pirates came out with a win in the 2nd set with a final score of 26-24.
The 3rd set the Lady Pirates also came out going hard but ended up losing it 23-25, but the Lady Pirates played a hard game.
Out of all three sets Caitlin Casey, Alexa Heeney, and Brittni Bormann had the best passes with each having 5 and Alexa Heeney, Brittni Bormann, and Jenna Roeber had the best digs with 21, 24, and 14 respectively.
Coach Heikes said "they had some very good moments, but they just have to be consistent with their abilities".
The JV came out going hard as well but ended up losing it 19-21.
On Tuesday the 22nd the Lady Pirates will take on the Ponca Indians on their home court. It is a B and A game. This will also be the Girls Volleyball Parents Night.
