The varsity team record was 11-8, with tieing for second for 2nd in our half of conference and taking 2nd in the sub-district play losing to state-bound Wakefield. Rachele Heitzman was chosen to the 1st team all conference. Laurie Millard 2nd Team. Brook Armagost and Mary Henderson received Honorable Mention. Two Senior players were rewarded for their dedication by receiving a Cabbage Patch Doll dressed in an volleyball uniform.
The J.V. Teams record was 7-3, and C- team was 5-5 for the year.

Varsity Team The team ended their season at 9-2. While receiving the district trophy for their win in the playoffs.
Lady Pirate Basketball
In the begin of the season, the team stated with only 16 girls, with no coach! The Girls ended up finishing First in the Post- Holiday Tournament. During Sub- Districts the defeated Macy 53- 40, and Ponca 41- 32. In the end the girls found themselves playing Pierce, they lost, but they ended the season with a winning one. Mary Henderson was neamed 2nd all team Conference and Honerable Mention All Area Norfolk Daily. Melissa Martin received Honerable Mention All Conference. Also Melissa and Richele Heitzman both received Honerable Mention All state by the Omaha World Herald.

The season started off pretty slow, with close games, but when Conference came around they beat Newcastle in triple overtime, 56-54. Then they suffered a loss to Macy in the first round. They ended the season with 3-15 record. Marty Habrock was named to second team All-Conference and All- State Honorable Mention. Monty Habrock was named All- Conference Honorable Mention.

The total team was a carry over from the year before, this team had a very good positive attitude, and also had great leadership. This was the year they also got a new track coach, Mr. Lynn Miller. The team was apart of the Plainview Invitational, Ivan Krumweide Relays in Homer, Lyons and Homer Invatational, a triangular in Wayne, W-P Gator Relays in Wisner. Conference Track Meet held at Wayne Sate College, and Districts at Homer.

The band got 4th place out of 24 bands at the Wayne State Band Day. December 19, was the Christmas concert. Then on March 21 they were in the conference Band Clinic, and got excellent rating.
