Lady Pirates vs. Omaha Nation

On December 11th the Lady Pirates traveled to Macy. They played a hard game and came out on top with a score of 32-28. It was a rough night but the girls kept going strong. They had a rough 4 quarters and struggled with free throws but they did succeed in steals. The leading scorer for the game was Brittni Bormann with 14 points. Our leading rebounder was Caitlin Casey with 7 offensive rebounds and 6 defensive rebounds.
We had one minor injury which was Caitlin Casey. Caitlin had been going for the ball when one of the opponents got tripped and fell on her. Caitlin got her head smacked into the floor and had to get 10 stitches above her eyebrow. We were glad to hear that she was back and ready to play monday morning.
"We played hard but struggled with our free throws. We hustled on defense and made sure to stay in front of the ball in the beginning of the game but backed off a little bit toward the end of the game," says Senior, Alexa Heeney.
