The 1999 Lady Pirates volleyball team definitely improved from last year. The five returning seniors Brandy Alexander, Reenee Albrecht, Dawn Mackling, Emily Schwarten, and Elisha Mackling led the lady Pirates with their experience and leadership.
The Lady Pirates have a new coach this season. Mrs Julia Albrecht took over as head coach. she had been a Lady Pirates assistance coach for the past few year. Miss Angie Crandle took over as the assistance coach.
Mrs. Albrecht said. "This year I was given an interesting challenge of being the head coach of a sport I never played during high school. I learned a lot, but I hope the girls leaned more."
Reenee Albrecht made all Conference team and Emily Schwarten and Dawn Mackling made All Conference Honorable Mention.
