Girls Basketball vs Valentine!! - NE Nebraska Shootout
On December 30, 2009 the Lady pirates had a game with Valentine. The Pirates lost with a score of 38 to 50.
Combining a late night loss to Wayne on the 29th and a physical and athletic team, Valentine was able to defeat the Lady Pirates. Although the lady pirates shot well from beyond the arc, they were unable to convert those points in the paint.
Marissa Blanke lead the pirates in steals with 5, Caitlin Casey lead the team in rebounds with 21, and also in blocked shots with 4. The high scorer for the game was Brittni Bormann with 12, followed by Marisa Blanke with 10. Although the lady pirates were defeated, it was good to play some tougher competition.
