Lady Pirates vs Wakefield

After another 5 day break, due to the weather, the Lady Pirates finally got to take on Wakefield in the first round of the Bob Clough Post Holiday Tournament. There were a lot of turnovers in the first half and we didn't shoot very much in the first quarter. At half time the Lady Pirates went in to the locker room up by 10. The third quarter went a lot better and the girls handled the pressure Wakefield put on in the fourth quarter to go on to win 50-36.
"We came out a little shaky at first. If we would of shot more the first quarter things would of went a little better." Says senior Caitlin Casey.
Alexa Heeney had the most points with 15 and added 10 rebounds for a double double. Marisa Blanke also had a double double scoring 12 points and grabbing 10 steals. Brittni Bormann had 11 points. Caitlin Casey had 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
