Kevin Martin led the Freshmen and Sophomores into the Annual Tournament in Homer. The Pirate JV played hard but fell short in two consecutive games. They lost 28-48 to the Ponca Indians and lost a heartbreaker to the Pender Pendragons with a 26-35 defeat.
Adam Drieling was the top scorer for the Pirates with twelve points while Kyle Gutzmann chiped in eight. Austin "Rooster" Hogan put in four while Kaleb White and James Roberts each had two. Rooster had this to say about the Ponca game, "We didn't come to play, but we tried hard."
Drieling was the top scorer again with fifteen followed by Kyle with seven. Rooster, Kaleb, and James all had two each to round out the Pirate offensive threat. Adam Drieling had this to say on the loss to the Pendragons, "we came to play and had a chance to win in the end but fell short."
