Emerson vs. Walthill

The Lady Pirates played the Walthill Lady Blue Jays on Friday, February 12th. The Lady Pirates came out a little slow but didn't let that stop them. We broke the press better and were more successful with our free throws.
"Walthill was definitely playing better this time we played them and it was a little bit tougher to get going but we pulled it together," says senior, Alexa Heeney.
Our leading scorers were Alexa Heeney with 17 and Brittni Bormann with 15. Caitlin Casey and Haley Koopman were 100% from the free throw line. Marisa Blanke lead in steals with 8 and Caitlin Casey followed with 5. Marisa Blanke also had 8 assists, and Caitlin Casey was our leading rebounder with 14 total rebounds.
