Hobgoblin House
Miss Priscilla Carter is peeved because her two nieces have fallen in love with two silly young nincompoops. In retaliation she purchased the grim old Hobgood House in the foothills of the Ozarks and here she plans a safe retreat where the girls shall not see their lovers for at least six months on penalty of being desinherited.
Just as luck would have it they arrive on the very night that old Bluebeard Bronson who once committed a murder in the house, is supposed to revisit the scene of his crime. Strange enough the boys arrive to rescue the family from a desperate band of crooks. Not until then does Miss Priscilla relent and give the girls permission to marry.

When the ad goes into the paper and Maxwell house is crawling with people. To add to the confusion Mama and Papa Maxwell come home and find things very crowded. To the climaz the situation it's discovered that somebody in the house is a bank robber and poor Papa is mistakenly carted off to the clink.
