Coaches Comments:
This was a great first showing for the JH athletes. The HCC meet is split into 7th and 8th grade teams. This allowed the coaches to put athletes against same-aged competition and get medals in the hands of 25 of 32 Wolfpack tracksters who competed in the meet. Getting all athletes at least one medal by the end of the year is our goal, and we crushed it on day one! 24 medals went to individuals including a sweep in the 8th grade girls throws by Maddie Franzluebbers and a 1st place effort for Ben Bousquet in the open 400. All 8 relay teams medaled, led by an outstanding effort by the 7th grade girls 4x400 team of Aybree, Carlee, DeLaney, and Cora. The weather could have been better as we were underprepared for rain but over prepared for the eclipse that we were only able to briefly see. But all the coaches can agree that we are very pleased with the effort the Pack gave us today. We're back in action in Ponca on Wednesday.
