Coaches Comments:
Considering there was 3+ inches of rainfall, Wednesday was a beautiful day for a track meet. We saw great competition from bigger squads like Wayne and LCC and got a taste of what our conference meet this Saturday could look like. We had a season high of 31 personal bests. Leading the girls side field events with a 1st and 2nd place effort in the throws was Maddie Franzluebbers. On the track Hailey Millard posted 34.47 for a second place finish in the 200M hurdles and Aybree Graves posted a personal best of 1:12.66 for 3rd in the open 400. For the boys, Tucker Anderson and Ben Bousquet set the track on fire during their open 400 and 4x400 legs. Both boys will be sitting in the top 8 at the conference meet in the open 400. The boys 4x400 consisting of Ben, James Kniefl, Logan Kramer, and Tucker posted a 4:29.05 in a very exciting and tight race. This time is good enough to be sitting in a tight race for 1st at the conference meet Saturday with Homer (4:26) and Laurel (4:27).
Saturday is the first ever JH conference meet. It will be held in Hartington with field events starting at 10:30.
