On an unusually hot and windy day, the Wolfpack of Tri County Northeast opened the 2025 season with some very good performances at the Tekamah-Herman Relays.
The most remarkable thing about the track meet Friday was looking back one year at comparing what happened Friday to last year. The girls’ team almost doubled their team scoring, while the boys’ team increased their scoring by 500%.
The three events for the Wolfpack that drew first place on the day were the girls’ 4X100 relay and the boys’ distance medley relay. Joslyn Mackling tied for first in the high jump.
The girls’ 4X100 ran an impressive 52.08 beating Bishop Neumann and Pender at the finish line. Rachael Bousquet, Bre Millard, Joslyn Mackling and Kiya Tornez were the members of the champion relay. The boys’ distance quartet of Logan Morgan, Aidan Isom, Devon Lewellen and Alex Snyder ran to their first-place finish in a time of 10:10.03.
Joslyn Mackling, individually tied for first place in the high jump, setting a cooperative record at 4’10”. Bryan Isom, although finishing second in the triple jump, set a new cooperative record with a jump of 40’ 5 ½”.

COACHES COMMENTS:
“The teams performed very well considering the on and off weather conditions we have worked through so far. It was exciting to see the growth from one year ago to today. We are still a very young group. Only 4 of 37 athletes are seniors and the younger kids really stepped up and followed the senior leads today. The competition the next two or three meets will test our will but will put an edge on us competition wise. The coaches were very impressed with their energy today. We as always are a work in progress and are going to work to keep moving forward.
