The 3rd quarter class pride jar drawing took place on Thursday. Congrats to everyone who got their name in their class pride jar during the quarter by showing that pirate pride around school. The winning students with their chosen tickets are displayed in the image. Way to go!

This awesome group of 6th, 7th, and 8th graders attended the WSC Middle School Music Festival today. In addition to singing in the choir, many performed in various small groups and solos (both vocal and instrumental). We left before this afternoon's ratings were posted so I will announce them at a later date. Thank you to Ms. Schincke for taking our picture!

THANK YOU Sue Burmood from Wisconsin for knitting up hats!! We love them and they keep us warm.🌬 ❄️

Our Elementary family reading event starts today and runs through the month of March. The students have already enjoyed finding dragons hidden throughout the building. There are activities they can complete at home and comprehension questions to answer at school to earn money to spend at our reading store. We hope you enjoy reading your book together!

Thanks Mrs. Barber for a fun Read Across America Week! Students finished the week with a special Zoo Zen inspired yoga class.

We were honored to have two local heroes read to the classes yesterday as part of Read Across America Week. Thank you Mrs. Franzluebbers and Ms. Morgan and to all of our local heroes who help keep us safe and help us when we have emergencies!

Kindergarten loves rhyming with Dr. Seuss! ❤️

Preschoolers got to help out Mrs. B try out new obstacle course challenges for Track and Field day! She may have also tried it out which resulted in a lot of giggles!

The 4th grade finished their projects on "Fretted Instruments" this afternoon. A big THANK YOU to Julie Albrect and Hannah Blomstedt from ESU 2 for assisting us with our project.

The 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students will be attending the WSC Middle School Music Festival on Tuesday, March 8th. The schedule for the day is posted below. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Trenhaile.

On Monday, February 28, the speech team attended district speech in Wausa. Charlie Doyle made finals in both Entertainment Speaking and Persuasive Speaking. She earned a 4th place in Entertainment, missing state qualification by 1, and a 6th place in Persuasive. Kenzie Liewer went to finals in Poetry and received a 5th place. The competition was extremely difficult, so it’s an incredible accomplishment to reach finals.

Branson Music Trip Reminders!! Parents; If you have not already completed the online Traveler Registration form for your child (or for yourself if sponsoring) please do so as soon as possible. (Just about half of you already have this done.)
Click or type into your web browser the link below and it will guide you through the steps. For the students you will select "student - quad occupancy" and for chaperones, you will select "Adult - double occupancy." (I do not believe there is an option for triple or quad occupancy for chaperones, but you will either be Triple or Double during the trip.) Also, your final payments for the trip are due by March 22nd. We will also have a mandatory meeting at some point this spring. Please check your email for any other announcements/notifications. If you need your final balance, or if you have questions, please email me at: jtrenhai@ehpirates.org

Jennifer Hansen from the Thurston County Extension office started a "Mars Base Camp" Activity with the MS STEM students this afternoon. They "launched" their astronaunts onto Mars and then presented to the class what kind of geography or other items of significance were found in the quadrant that they landed on. Mrs. Hansen will be back on March 16th to finish Base Camp. Next week we will be learning how to make no-bake cookies and working on flextangles (hexaflexagons).

Elementary Students will be participating in a Zoo Zen inspired Yoga Class! See Filer for more details.

As part of Read Across America Week, members of the MS/HS Student Council and National Honor Society came to the elementary this morning to read to our students!
